Moving around in Bogotá is easy. The easternhills of Monserrate and Guadalupe are the principal reference landmark: themain roads (Carreras) run parallel north-south and numbering increases fromeast to west. The streets (Calles) run perpendicular to the hills east-west,and numbers increase from south to north.
There are several means of public transport.One is the Metropolitan Mass Transit System, Transmilenio, a system that servesalmost all parts of the city.
There are over 50,000 licensed taxis providing service in the city, which can beidentified through their yellow colour. It is advisable to book a taxi by phoneand you will be provided with a code number to check with the driver.
